Are you a local company?
Darius Oven Cleaning is a local, family owned and run business based in Colchester and we are not part of a national chain. We are completely independent and local, we are not part of a franchise and the person you talk to on the phone is who will be cleaning your appliance.
How long will it take to clean my oven?
On average it takes around 2 hours to clean an oven. If the oven is bigger and has more debris and baked on dirt, it can sometimes take longer.
How often should I get my oven cleaned professionally?
I recommend having your oven cleaned at least once every six months, getting your oven cleaned professionally will help it perform to its maximum and help it last longer.
Do you work in a Covid Safe manner?
The Covid guidelines stated by the government, mean we can now clean ovens in customer homes and business premises. For your peace of mind please be assured that we will be following these guidelines to the letter and will be adhering to them strictly for your and our safety. We will disinfect all our work equipment both before and after carrying out any of our oven cleaning services and will maintain social distancing at all times.
For your and our safety, please maintain a safe distance of at least 2m whilst we are in your home or premises, if you have to talk to use please ensure you are wearing a mask and wash your hands before and after we have been in your home.
Please ensure you are ready for our visit so we can minimise contact and remain safe.
Will you need to use my sink or hot water?
No – Darius is completely self sufficient carrying all equipment, water and cleaning products that are required.
Will I be able to use my oven immediately when the cleaning is finished?
Yes – Darius will rinse all surfaces with water to remove any trace of chemicals prior to drying all oven compartments. All the chemicals and cleaners Darius uses are based on natural products. So if you want to use your oven straight away it is not a problem.
Can Darius clean glass or ceramic Hobs?
Yes – But due to the low cost of cleaning hobs, Darius will only clean them whilst cleaning ovens.
Will the work Darius carries out scratch my cooker or stainless steel?
No – The cleaners and equipment that Darius uses are built to leave delicate surfaces unmarked and without damage.
